At present, the chamber of spring cone crusher mainly has three types: standard type(for medium crushing), intermediate type( for medium crushing and fine crushing) and short head type( for fine crushing). However, no matter what types the cone crusher is, the structure and principle of the cone crusher is similar. The only difference is the length of the parallel crushing zone. Its length of short head type is the longest, the standard type the shortest, the intermediate type the in the middle. Ores are crushed and squeezed by the swinging cone, then discharged from the parallel opening which is both the discharging opening of spring cone crusher and the check field for the final product particle size. Here, the unqualified bigger stone will be crushed into qualified one and then discharged.

The shape of spring cone crusher’s crushing chamber is turbination. The through capacity of the turbination crushing chamber cannot match well with each section along the crushing chamber height whose through capacity is different from each other. The thickness of the material bed at the parallel zone is relative to the discharging opening which is a key point to decide the output capacity of the spring cone crusher. The capacity of crushing chamber also relates to the angle between the movable cone (mantle) and fixed cone (concave).

On the premise of keeping the original structure of the spring cone crusher unchanged, take furthest use of the features of the nip angle and parallel zone length and then improve the structure of the mantle and concave in order to enlarge the volume of the crushing chamber and narrow the nip angle.
