Working Principle of Jaw Crusher

Jaw crusher is mainly composed of rack, eccentric shaft, big belt pulley, fly wheel, movable jaw, side plate, toggle plate, back seat of toggle plate, adjusting bolt, reset spring, fixed jaw plate and movable jaw plate etc. toggle plate is an important safety part of jaw crusher. Belt and belt wheel are driven by the electric motor, and then they will drive the eccentric shaft which will make the movable jaw move up and down. When the movable jaw goes up, included angle between toggle plate and movable jaw will enlarge. That will push the movable jaw plate forward the fixed jaw plate. At the same time, materials are squeezed and crushed. When the movable jaw goes down, included angle between toggle plate and movable jaw will narrow, movable jaw plate will get away from the fixed jaw plate under the force of the pull rod and spring. At this time, the crushed materials will be discharged from the crushing chamber.

Operation Cycle of Jaw Crusher
Usually, jaw crusher is adopted as primary crusher. Raw materials are fed into the crushing chamber with jaw teeth and then be pushed to the chamber wall under the big force of the jaw teeth. Finally, big stones or ores will be crushed into smaller particle size. Jaw teeth are driven by an eccentric shaft which goes through the whole machine. Eccentric motion is produced by the fly wheels which are fixed at the two sides of eccentric shaft. Fly wheel and eccentric support bearing usually adopts spherical roller bearing. Bearing shall be able to bear big Impact resistance, resistance to corrosion and high temperature resistance.
