Does the Moisture of Raw Material Influence the the-ball-mill-efficiency?

Ball mill can grind lots of material, such as raw material for cement, limestone, clay, coal. The moisture of raw material will influence the ball mill.

1.    The moisture of material is too high. If the raw material contains too much water, the feeding opening of the ball mill will be blocked. When the ball mill is running, the material may stick onto the grinding media or the liner, and the output capacity of the ball mill will be reduced. When the ball mill works under high temperature, the water will evaporate and the cylinder of the ball mill will be filled with vapour which can also enable some small particle stick onto the grinding media and decrease the output capacity of the ball mill.
2.    The moisture of the raw material is too low. If the raw material is too dry, their speed in the ball mill will be very quick. In this way, the material may not be grounded fine.

So the moisture of the material shall be meet special standard as the following:
1.    Clinker: < 1%
2.    Limestone: <10%
3.    Mixed material: <1%
4.    Clay: <1.5%
5.    Coal: <3%
6.    Limestone: <1%
7.    Other materials:  5-8%
